The IDF is opening a new Military Intelligence track for dozens of Haredi students through the Pa'amei Atidim program. Participants will study software or electrical engineering at a technological academy before serving in specialized intelligence units, with an option to complete an engineering degree during service. Program materials say the framework provides tuition support, living stipends, academic guidance and service conditions adapted to Haredi religious life, including prayer, Torah study and enhanced kosher food. Military officials said the first cohort was selected for strong analytical abilities and is expected to bring a distinct way of thinking to intelligence work.
