IDF Strikes Burj al-Shemali, Mansouri and Majdal Zoun After Reservists Killed

Israeli artillery shelled the southern Lebanese town of Mansouri on Thursday morning and overnight, and fighter jets struck the town during the night. Overnight shelling also hit neighboring Majdal Zoun, and an airstrike struck Burj al-Shemali beside Tyre, with four people wounded across the overnight strikes. Artillery reached Haddatha, and Israeli troops demolished buildings in Zawtar al-Sharqiyeh. Mansouri and Majdal Zoun lie inside the Israeli buffer zone in south Lebanon, and the IDF had ordered Mansouri residents to evacuate a day earlier. The military said it is acting because Hezbollah violated the June ceasefire, after an explosive device killed two reserve paratroopers and seriously wounded four in Majdal Zoun on Wednesday.
