Iran Cyberattacks Triple to 4,800 in June, Israel Cyber Chief Says
Israel's National Cyber Directorate chief Yossi Karadi told Germany's Die Welt that Iranian cyberattacks against Israeli targets surged to about 4,800 hostile incidents in June 2026, triple the roughly 1,600 recorded during the same month in 2025. Israeli and Hebrew reports say the attacks targeted critical infrastructure, major organizations, small and midsize businesses and ordinary users, including law and accounting firms. Karadi said Israel has so far fended off attacks on critical infrastructure, but less-protected companies have sometimes had systems wiped. The numbers show Iran's war on Israel continues in cyberspace even when missiles pause, and justify disciplined national cyber vigilance.
