Trump Says He Has No Regrets Over Iran War, Would Make Same Choice Again

President Donald Trump told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he had no regrets about the war with Iran, saying he does not believe in the word regret and that he would “do it exactly as I did.” He said the conflict would end right after the election, described Iran as “limping along” and “in deep trouble,” and said its missiles had been “largely wiped out” after the United States knocked out nine Iranian tankers. Trump said Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and would have obtained one had he not acted, and claimed Tehran wants him out of office because it believes Democrats would let it have one. He also cited an “all-time high” stock market.
