Iranian Media Report Four Projectiles Hit Tanker Near Kharg Island

Iranian media reported that four projectiles struck a small tanker about 10 kilometers from Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf on Saturday. Tasnim said the U.S. military carried out the attack, while Tasnim and Nournews reported that the crew was safe and unloading could begin. Neither Iranian nor U.S. authorities had officially confirmed the reported strike at publication. Kharg, Iran’s principal oil-export terminal, handled about 90% of the country’s oil exports before the U.S.-Israel war began on February 28, placing the reported incident near a strategically important energy hub.
