Iran’s state broadcaster claimed that Iranian forces targeted three oil tankers and three American vessels in retaliation for U.S. strikes on three Iranian oil tankers. The claimed attacks were the latest escalation in fighting around the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping and military operations have come under increasing pressure.
