Vance Says U.S. Is Fully Investigating Reported Strike on Iranian Wedding

Vice President JD Vance said the United States is fully investigating whether an American strike hit a wedding in Kuhestak, Hormozgan Province. Vance said he had been briefed, was extremely skeptical of Iranian state-media reporting, and wanted to establish what happened. Iranian reports initially said four people were killed and 50 wounded; later reporting said a 22-year-old woman died in hospital, raising the reported death toll to five. The investigation has not established U.S. responsibility, and Vance said the American military does not target civilians and learns from mistakes.
