U.S. Strikes Three Iranian Oil Tankers After IRGC Targets Navy Warships

U.S. Central Command said its forces struck three Iranian crude-oil carriers after the IRGC launched ballistic missiles toward two U.S. Navy warships on Saturday. An aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer evaded multiple attacks, and no American personnel were harmed. CENTCOM said it permanently disabled the M/T Downy off Kharg Island and the M/T Stark 1 near Jask, then destroyed the unladen M/T Kylo, also called Noxen, in the Gulf of Oman after directing its crew to abandon ship. The command described the tankers as part of a network funding the IRGC and its regional proxies.
