Israel's 12-Month Deficit Reaches 3.3% of GDP Through July

Israel's fiscal deficit was 3.3% of GDP for the 12 months through July, below the government's 4.9% target for 2026, according to figures released by Finance Ministry Accountant General Michal Abadi-Boiangiu. July recorded a NIS 4.8 billion deficit, bringing the 12-month total to NIS 72.9 billion. State revenue totaled NIS 55 billion for the month and NIS 328 billion from January through July, 11% above the same period in 2025. Spending reached NIS 60 billion in July and NIS 373 billion year to date, up 3.5%.
