Driver Kills 65-Year-Old Pedestrian at Hadera Shopping Center

A 65-year-old woman was killed Wednesday after a private car struck her at a pedestrian crossing, mounted the sidewalk and hit a storefront at the MIX shopping complex in Hadera. Magen David Adom said it received the call at 09:31 and found the woman trapped beneath the vehicle, unconscious and without vital signs; she had sustained multisystem injuries. Firefighters freed her, but paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Police traffic investigators detained the driver for questioning and opened an investigation into the crash.
