The European Commission has approved a €4.5 million German aid scheme for fishing companies facing higher fuel prices. Germany may award direct grants through December 31 covering 70% of the estimated fuel-cost increase from March 1 through July 23, with support capped at €50,000 per company. The Commission registered the measure as state-aid case SA.124349.
