Israel’s First Dog-Only Reception Desk Opens at Jordan River Hotel

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a smiling tan-and-white dog wearing a colorful bandana at a dog-only hotel reception desk, with a paw-print sign and clipped dog photos behind it, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Travel Hotels has opened a separate reception desk for dogs at its Village Travel Hotel on the Jordan River, describing it as the first service of its kind at an Israeli hotel. The launch, tied to International Dog Day on August 26, gives dogs a ceremonial check-in and welcome on arrival. The Kibbutz Sde Nehemia property has 110 accommodation units, and the chain says guests pay no additional fee for bringing dogs. Staff also recommend nearby dog-friendly walking routes and water sites, while several other Travel Hotels properties welcome dogs as well.
