The Education and Health ministries approved an institutional-nurse pilot in 10 elementary schools beginning in September 2026. Four nurses operated by Terem will serve the Haifa and Jerusalem districts, four operated by Femi Premium will serve the Central District, and two will work in areas served directly by the Health Ministry. Each nurse will work about 30 hours across five days weekly, mapping medical needs, providing first aid, training staff and meeting families. The full-year program includes research on permanent school staffing, while pupils who need invasive procedures will retain their existing support.
