Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s Champions League bid ended in Baku after Sabah won the second leg 5-2 after extra time and 6-4 on aggregate. Hapoel twice led through Igor Zlatanović and Guy Mizrahi, but Tellur Mutallimov’s stoppage-time goal forced extra time with the aggregate score level at 4-4. Jibril Diop was sent off in the 100th minute before Orphé Mbina and Joy-Lance Mickels scored, while Eliel Peretz was also dismissed. Sabah advanced to the Champions League league phase, and Hapoel entered the Europa League league phase.
