The Justice Ministry’s Police Investigation Department has indicted three Nazareth police officers and a police volunteer on aggravated-assault charges in Nazareth Magistrate’s Court. Prosecutors allege that Ron Biton, Amir Ghadir, Bashir Khoury and Andros Zohar Berenger stopped a Chevrolet near a Mashhad roundabout shortly before 1:30 a.m. on April 1, 2024, after believing its occupants had taunted them. The indictment says the four punched and kicked the three young men, injuring two, and that Khoury searched the car without legal authority. The allegations have not been proven in court.
