China’s Ministry of Commerce said Vice Premier He Lifeng will lead a delegation to the United States from September 19–23. It said the consultations would address issues of mutual economic and trade concern and follow the consensus reached by Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump. The U.S. Trade Representative said Jamieson Greer and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will meet He in New York on September 20. Greer said priorities include monitoring past commitments, reducing obstacles to non-sensitive goods and expanding U.S. market access before a planned summit in Washington.
