Turkish Prosecutors Say Nine Israelis Are Among 201 Detained in Fraud Probe

Turkish prosecutors said nine Israeli citizens were among 201 people detained in an investigation into an alleged international fraud network. They said 45 detainees were foreign nationals from 20 countries, and alleged Israeli citizens managed the organization. The probe says the network used online advertisements, multilingual call centers and fabricated investment profits before demanding additional payments from victims, with alleged losses above $3 billion. Turkey's Justice Ministry said the operation covered four investigations opened in 2026 and involved searches at 286 addresses in Istanbul and Muğla.
