Bolivia’s Vice President Lara Tells Paz to Close the Electoral Chapter After UN Speech

Bolivian Vice President Edmand Lara on September 25 urged President Rodrigo Paz to close the electoral chapter "once and for all," in a statement posted on the vice presidency's official accounts. Lara said Bolivians know "perfectly well who won, why they won and how they reached the government," and that there was no need to keep explaining it at the United Nations. He was responding to remarks Paz made on Tuesday at a CAF-UNDP conference in New York, where Paz called himself "a product of TikTok" and said he won with a $50,000 campaign while losing candidates spent up to $16 million.
