Deadly Drone Attack on Russia's Krasnodar Region Sets Two Enterprises Ablaze

A drone attack overnight on September 26 killed an unspecified number of people in the Seversky district of Russia's Krasnodar region, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said. He said one person was in serious condition in the district hospital, that drone debris damaged a residential building, and that fires broke out at two enterprises, which he did not name. Independent open-source analysts identified one burning site as the Ilsky oil refinery, among the largest in southern Russia, as residents reported explosions from around midnight. The refinery has been struck at least 16 times since 2022, and Ukraine's General Staff confirmed hits on it on June 2 and August 8.
