Saudi Air Defenses Down Houthi Drones Aimed at Riyadh and a Missile at Khamis Mushait

Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed two drones that Yemen's Houthi militia launched toward the Riyadh region before dawn on Saturday, according to Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen. Al-Maliki said the coalition was monitoring and tracking a missile threat and drones heading toward the kingdom. Shortly afterward, he announced that air defenses had also intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile the Houthis fired toward Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The coalition's statements reported no damage or casualties.
