Yemen's transport ministry said Iranian-backed Houthis targeted Aden International Airport's runway and passenger terminal with two ballistic missiles and explosive drones early Wednesday. One missile fell near the runway minutes before Yemenia flight 603 from Cairo was due to land, prompting authorities to divert it to Jeddah, the ministry said. Employees and travelers were evacuated from the terminal, and a Yemenia aircraft and an Aden Airways aircraft on the ground were moved away from danger. The ministry called on international bodies, particularly the International Civil Aviation Organization, to condemn the attack and protect civilian airports and commercial aviation.
