IDF Names Hamas Sniper Killed in Southern Gaza Strike

Israel's military on Monday named Adi Adli Abd al-Aaser as the Hamas military-wing sniper it said it killed in a strike in southern Gaza on Sunday. The IDF said he had recently advanced plans to attack Israeli troops and civilians and had worked to restore the group's capabilities. It characterized those activities as a systematic violation of the ceasefire and said the strike was intended to remove an immediate threat. The newly released identification came a day after the strike described in the military's statement.
