Valley National Bancorp and Bluevine announced a definitive agreement Monday for Valley to acquire the Israeli-founded small-business banking platform for approximately $340 million. The companies said the purchase price will be paid 75% in cash and 25% in Valley stock, with completion expected in early 2027, subject to regulatory and other approvals. Bluevine serves about 175,000 active U.S. small-business customers and holds about $2.1 billion in deposits, according to the joint announcement. Bluevine, founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Eyal Lifshitz and Nir Klar, operates an engineering center in Tel Aviv; the companies said Lifshitz is expected to lead Valley's small-business banking business after the deal closes.
