Government Companies Authority Closes Review of Original ZIM Sale Plan
Published

Israel's Government Companies Authority told ZIM on Tuesday that it had closed its review of the original Hapag-Lloyd and FIMI acquisition request because full revised documents were not submitted, according to a letter quoted in reporting. The authority said the original request is no longer valid and its handling of requests connected to the deal has ended. It said any revised transaction requires a new, detailed application approved by the boards of ZIM and the buyers, while a renewed request for the original plan may be filed by October 6. The decision does not formally reject the sale; state consent remains required under ZIM's golden share.
