Herzog Calls for Arrests During Visit to Judea and Samaria Division

President Isaac Herzog visited the IDF Judea and Samaria Division headquarters on Wednesday and received an operational briefing from division commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller. He condemned vigilantism that undermines the rule of law, described recent events as severe and unacceptable, and called for those responsible to be arrested and brought to trial. Herzog said nationalist crime harms Israel's exercise of sovereignty and its ability to enforce the law. He thanked the IDF for counterterrorism operations, enforcing the law and carrying out court judgments, while saying that preventing terrorism remains the forces' primary challenge.
