Silexion Doses First Patient in Pancreatic Cancer Trial at Ichilov

Silexion Therapeutics announced that the first patient in its global Phase 2/3 trial of SIL204 had been treated at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, also known as Ichilov. The investigational RNA interference treatment targets KRAS-driven, locally advanced pancreatic cancer. The open-label study compares SIL204 plus standard chemotherapy with chemotherapy alone, with approximately 18 patients planned in an initial safety cohort and about 166 in a randomized cohort. Treatment combines ultrasound-guided delivery into the tumor with injections under the skin. Additional Israeli and German sites are expected to join; the announcement reports the start of patient treatment rather than clinical efficacy results.
