ZIM Says Hapag-Lloyd Intends New Proposal After State Review Closure

ZIM said on September 30 that Hapag-Lloyd had informed it of plans to submit a revised proposal and seek approval from Israel's Government Companies Authority and the state. The disclosure followed a September 29 letter ending review of the pending application to change ZIM's special state share, originally filed in March. The authority said no detailed revised proposal had arrived by its information-request deadline and that any new proposal must be filed in full detail. ZIM's filing disclosed no new price or submission date and did not announce that a revised offer had been submitted or approved.
