Five Large Rounds Led Israeli Startup Funding in September

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival 2016 elevated Tel Aviv cityscape, with high-rise towers, roads and railway lines; geographic context for Israeli startup funding, not company premises or the September financing events.

Five large funding rounds for Israeli technology startups totaled $1.9 billion in September, according to a newly published monthly review of announced financing. Enterprise AI company Wonderful raised $550 million; cybersecurity companies Cyera and Island each raised $400 million, while Upwind raised $300 million. Defense startup Covenant emerged from stealth with $250 million. The review highlighted cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and infrastructure supporting the deployment of AI agents as recurring investment themes. These are September financing announcements compiled in the October 1 review, rather than five new rounds announced today.
