Police filed an indictment on October 1 against Eliya Azrad, 26, of Bnei Brak over a salt shaker allegedly thrown toward former prime minister Naftali Bennett during a campaign visit. The charges are common assault, attempted common assault and conduct liable to disturb the peace. Police say the incident occurred at a Bnei Brak restaurant on September 24, while Bennett was recording a campaign video, and that Azrad was arrested at the scene. Bennett was not injured, and police released footage of the incident alongside the announcement.
