Judea and Samaria District police announced on October 1 that they had opened an investigation into an assault near Yasuf in Samaria. According to police, dozens of Palestinians threw stones at Israeli civilians, including a minor who was lightly injured. Investigators are also examining a claim of an attempt to pull someone toward the village. Police said a disturbance developed against IDF forces operating there, and troops fired toward the rioters. Ariel station officers and forensic investigators entered the scene under IDF escort to collect findings, evidence and testimony.
