Israel’s Finance Ministry published a draft order for public comment on October 1 that would lower gasoline excise to enable an additional NIS 0.50-per-liter pump-price reduction, bringing the combined temporary price reduction to NIS 1 per liter. Comments close on October 4 at 14:00. The proposed revised reduction would apply from October 5 through November 4, while the earlier order would end on October 4. The ministry projects NIS 155 million in revenue forgone for the new period and NIS 437 million across both periods. The proposal remains a draft requiring signing after consultation.
