Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed an order cutting fuel excise after reaching an agreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. From midnight between October 4 and 5, the maximum self-service price of 95-octane gasoline will fall by 50 agorot, from NIS 8.27 to NIS 7.77 per liter. Netanyahu announced the agreement on Sunday afternoon, saying the reduction would take effect that night. The signed order follows an earlier public consultation on the additional tax cut, with the reduction described as applying for the coming month.
