Military Intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder reportedly told the security cabinet on Sunday evening that about 6,000 infiltrators crossed the border fence during the October 7 attack and that 4,000 had been killed. The updated assessment was publicly reported on Monday. Binder reportedly put the number of remaining participants at 2,000 and said the security establishment would continue pursuing them. His statement came in response to Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf's question about how many of the infiltrators remained.
