Magen David Adom pronounced a man approximately 40 dead after a vehicle exploded at Pal-Yam junction on Highway 4 on Thursday evening. The ambulance service said its Sharon-region dispatch received the report at 21:34 on October 8. Medics and paramedics initially treated an unconscious casualty at the scene, then confirmed his death after providing medical treatment and attempting resuscitation. Its follow-up statement described multiple-system injuries and revised the initial age estimate from approximately 30 to approximately 40.
