French Cargo Workers Refuse Elbit Shipment on El Al Flight to Israel

Cargo workers at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport refused to load military components intended for Elbit Systems onto an El Al flight scheduled for October 10. The refusal followed a workers’ committee decision at a cargo-handling company, and Israeli security officials are working to secure the shipment’s transfer. The dispute follows union claims that an earlier Air France shipment was blocked, while France’s Foreign Ministry said Air France denied having such a booking. In its October 8 briefing, the ministry said military exports to Israel are licensed only for strictly defensive purposes or components incorporated into equipment for export to third countries.
