Joe Wilson Accuses ICC of Siding With Hamas, Calls for an End to Its Threats

U.S. Representative Joe Wilson accused the International Criminal Court of siding with Hamas on October 7 in a statement posted early Sunday, Israel time. He accused the court of favoring dictators and targeting democracies, and demanded an end to what he called its illegitimate threats. Wilson also criticized its treatment of Ukraine, the Taliban, and Tibetans and Uyghurs under Chinese Communist Party rule. His post quoted Secretary of State Marco Rubio's October 9 announcement that the Trump administration was sanctioning the ICC. Rubio urged allies within the court to seek solutions concerning what he described as threats to U.S. sovereignty.
