Rosenthal Accuses Segal of Advising Netanyahu; Segal Defends Political Contacts
Published
Former MK Mickey Rosenthal alleged on Monday that journalist Amit Segal had advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, citing correspondence attributed to Segal and Netanyahu adviser Yonatan Urich. In a corrected post, Rosenthal said he retained his central allegation and criticized Channel 12’s silence. In his Sunday evening broadcast, before Rosenthal’s Monday posts, Segal said contacts with political sources involved exchanges of information and views, and denied that the exchanges crossed a line. He also condemned what he described as criminal hacking and publication of private correspondence, and said he had similar exchanges with figures across the political spectrum.
