A paid online service reportedly offers access to Israelis’ identity numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, vehicle-registration details and first-degree family relationships by combining previously leaked databases. Testing described in the report revealed family connections from a single identity number, and access was offered for fees reaching several tens of dollars. The Privacy Protection Authority said it is examining the matter to consider using its available tools or cooperating with other enforcement bodies. The website and associated bot remained accessible at the time of publication, according to the report.
