Libyan Emergency Teams Mobilize to Evacuate Children Stranded in Tripoli Schools

Libya's Emergency Medicine and Support Center said accumulated rainwater had prevented some children from leaving schools in Tripoli, and its teams were mobilizing to reach them and evacuate them to safe locations. The center said the school response was part of continuing field operations to assist people stranded in affected areas. In a separate update, it said adverse weather continued disrupting movement across several parts of the capital. Its teams, coordinating with the Libyan Red Crescent, were providing emergency medical assistance and evacuating stranded residents. The statements did not specify how many children or residents were affected.
