Netanyahu Orders Stronger Unexploded-Ordnance Warnings and Searches After Hospital Visit

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the commander of the IDF Home Front Command to strengthen public guidelines and warnings about unexploded ordnance on Monday evening, October 12. He directed the command to emphasize the strict prohibition against touching unexploded items and to conduct extensive searches to locate them. Netanyahu issued the instructions after visiting people wounded in the northern incident and their families at Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Education Minister Yoav Kisch accompanied him on the hospital visit, which the Prime Minister’s Office described in its announcement.
