Zelensky Says Partners Gave No Warning Before Five-Missile Strike on Kyiv

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 13 that partners had provided no early warning before five Russian ballistic missiles struck civilian infrastructure in Kyiv the previous evening. He said intelligence about Russian ballistic missile launches helps save lives. According to his statement, Russia had attacked Ukraine with more than 100 weapons since the previous evening, including jet-powered drones, loitering munitions and ballistic missiles. Zelensky also said Ukraine had refrained from attacks on Russian oil refining and energy for two days following the American president's energy-ceasefire announcement, while Russia continued attacking Ukrainian energy and critical infrastructure.
