Judge Preserves White House Press Access for CNN, MS NOW and Politico

U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Kelly granted a preliminary injunction on October 13 preserving White House press access for CNN, MS NOW and Politico while their lawsuit proceeds. The order maintains access restored under a September 24 temporary restraining order and bars enforcement of the September 18 credential revocation. Kelly found the plaintiffs likely to succeed on due-process, retaliation and viewpoint-discrimination claims. The administration cited professional standards and national-security concerns. Kelly said the ruling does not establish that Trump's complaints about accuracy were unfounded or prevent the government from protecting national security when classified information is unlawfully disclosed.
