Zelensky Says At Least 600,000 People Are Without Power After Russian Overnight Attack

President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least 600,000 people were without electricity after Russia attacked Ukrainian energy and critical infrastructure overnight on October 13–14. He said 39 ballistic missiles and more than 120 strike drones and loitering munitions targeted Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast and Kharkiv. He reported damage to facilities and equipment at 26 elements of the electricity system and four oil-and-gas facilities, warning that outages could increase. The State Emergency Service reported three deaths in Kyiv, including two at an apartment building in Desnianskyi district, where 21 people were injured, including one child, and 16 residents were rescued.
