Abdullah Gül is the 11th president of Turkey.
Today, the Law published in the Official Gazette with the approval of the esteemed President has opened a new door toward resolving the Kurdish issue, one of the important subjects in the history of our Republic. I congratulate the political leaders, foremost President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who took this courageous step, as well as the state officials who prepared the ground for this consensus behind the scenes. I wish this law prosperity for Türkiye. I have always maintained my belief that good things will happen.
