Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Benjamin Netanyahu facing the camera in a black suit and red tie in a stone passage at the Western Wall, with metal railings and an arched recess behind him, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Speaking at the Western Wall before Rosh Hashanah, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran is trying again to arm itself with nuclear weapons. He said Israel destroyed Iran’s immediate bomb-production capability in Operations Rising Lion and Roaring Lion, but Tehran is attempting to rebuild. Netanyahu pledged that Iran would not obtain nuclear weapons while he remains prime minister. He also said Israel continues to strike Iran’s regional axis in Gaza and Lebanon, citing the destruction of the Beaufort Ridge position and ongoing action around the Ali Taher Ridge.
