Iranian Lawmaker Azizi Threatens to Make Israel Uninhabitable in Under an Hour

Ebrahim Azizi, who chairs the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, threatened on Saturday that Iran could make Israel uninhabitable in less than an hour. In a Hebrew-language post, he conditioned the threat on action against Iran’s security and national interests. He followed it with an English message warning that a single miscalculation could bring that result. The Hebrew post quoted an October 21 statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at an officers’ graduation at Bahad 1. In those earlier remarks, Netanyahu accused Iran of again pursuing nuclear weapons and called for its regime to be overthrown.
