Iran’s Armed Forces Chief Threatens Harsher Response to U.S. and Israel

Iranian Armed Forces chief Major General Ali Abdollahi warned U.S. and Israeli leaders on Sunday that renewed action against Iran would draw a more severe response than previous confrontations. Abdollahi, who also commands the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said the two countries had already tested the resolve of Iran’s leadership, population and armed forces. He claimed a future strike would be closer, more destructive and impossible to intercept. His message threatened retaliation for what he described as another miscalculation, without announcing a specific operation or timetable.
