Hegseth Reportedly Meets Netanyahu During Unannounced Israel Visit

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel on Monday, October 19, during an unannounced visit. The account attributed the visit to two sources familiar with it and placed it eight days before Israel’s October 27 Knesset election. It came as Washington and Jerusalem were discussing the possibility of another major military campaign against Iran. The Pentagon and the Israeli Embassy declined to comment on the report, while the Prime Minister’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
