Araghchi Says Iran-Russia Cooperation Has Never Been Closer After Lavrov Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tuesday that cooperation between Iran and Russia was closer than ever, in a statement describing talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Araghchi said he hosted Lavrov in Tehran on Monday and that their discussions covered issues across Europe and West Asia. He named Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen among the subjects they addressed. He also said the talks focused on expanding economic and nuclear cooperation, presenting the agenda and his assessment of the relationship without announcing a signed agreement.
