Iran Security Chief Says Enriched Nuclear Material Will Stay in Iran

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary, Mohsen Rezaei, told Pakistani army chief Asim Munir that enriched nuclear material would stay in Iran, describing it as a national asset. Rezaei said negotiations with the United States would depend on Washington building trust by meeting Iran’s conditions, which the statement did not specify. Munir also met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran on Tuesday. In a separate message earlier that day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his party would work with President Donald Trump to eliminate the Iranian threat.
